Is Santa Coming This Year?

Yes, Virginia, there will be a santa claus. But this year he's fired the elves and is making the presents himself. We're all feeling the hit this year, so Christmas is going to take some creativity. As a parent, I have the greatest excuse for going cheap - grandparents, aunts and uncles love homemade gifts. Ok, so even if they don't, they have to pretend because, hey, it's your kid!

I picked up some pencil boxes at wal-mart for, get this, TEN CENTS each. Seriously, a dime. Who can't spend that? My two year old son and I had a blast decorating them for each family member. Sure some of them look more like baby vomit than artwork, but like I said - it's from the kid! They have to like it! Women can store cosmetics, jewelry and men can store fishing tackle - or you can fill them with homebaked goodies. And how can you not like that?
